ABOUT GIA
Gia’Nichole Thornton, born in Atlanta Georgia, is a bonafide, spirit-filled worship leader, songwriter, and minister, with a desire to empower and facilitate holy moments within the Body of Christ. Over the last 15 years, God has been faithful to give Gia an anointing to effectively minister and lead worship at hundreds of events around the United States and particularly in the Central Georgia region.
Born from two hearts joined together through music, Gia’s parents, Mark and Teresa Mitchell Sr. met in Atlanta, Georgia. Working as both musician and singer, they both had successful careers working with music legends such as Johnnie Taylor, The Drifters and Archie Bell & The Drells. Gia’s uncle, Pastor John Simpson, III was also the charismatic bassist and songwriter for the national recording group, the SOS Band.
Gia and her family have developed several talented music prodigies and young artist through their family owned business, Mitchell’s Academy of Music & Dance located in beautiful Perry, Georgia.
Gia’Nichole is the proud wife of her college sweetheart and musical collaborator, Stephen Tyler Thornton, a gifted and phenomenal pianist who often accompanies her. Together they are raising two beautiful daughters, Eden and Cadence, in the Word of God, music and arts.
Gia’s love for God, His people, and His presence are evident through her anointed Ministry of Music. Her new EP Album entitled “Be Revealed”, is dedicated to ushering the hearts of listeners into a place of restoration, healing, and ultimately a deeper revelation of Christ.
